Courageux Diffuser Oil is a concentrated, perfumer-designed home fragrance created for flexible scenting across a range of diffuser formats.

Designed for use with water-based, waterless and ceramic diffusers, the concentrated formula allows the intensity of the fragrance to be adjusted depending on the device, size of the room and desired scent throw.

Its fragrance composition draws on pure essential oils, natural botanicals and aromatic resins. Italian bergamot and sweet orange bring vivid freshness before Bulgarian clary sage, and Damask rose unfolds through the heart, settling into Himalayan cedarwood, vanilla and frankincense.

Versatile, concentrated and quietly distinctive, Courageux fills the surrounding space with a feeling that is uplifting, confident and composed.

*Don't let the long name worry you — Isopropylideneglycerol is a gentle, plant-derived carrier made from vegetable glycerine. It has no scent of its own; its only job is to hold the fragrance and release it slowly and evenly, so your diffuser smells as beautiful in week twelve as it does on day one. It's alcohol-free and isn't classified as flammable, making it a safer choice for the home.

Courageux is a blend of fine fragrance materials, essential oils, and natural botanicals, including Cedrus deodara (Cedar) wood oil, Boswellia carterii (Frankincense) oil, Citrus aurantium bergamia (Bergamot) fruit oil, Salvia sclarea (Clary Sage) oil, Rosa damascena (Rose) flower oil, Vanilla planifolia (Vanilla) fruit extract, Citrus aurantium dulcis (Sweet Orange) peel oil.

It captures that quiet sense of optimism — the feeling of a new day beginning, with nowhere you need to be just yet and the sense that something good might be ahead.

The questions we get asked

What are Diffuser Oils used for?

Our concentrated Diffuser Oils allow you to bring BB Fragrances scents into compatible electric, ultrasonic, waterless and passive diffusion devices. They are ideal when you want adjustable fragrance without a candle or traditional reed vessel.

How much should I use?

For compatible water-based diffusers, begin with approximately 5–7 drops and adjust according to your device size and preferred intensity. For waterless diffusion systems, follow the manufacturer's instructions. For compatible ceramic diffusers, approximately one drop may be all that is needed to begin.

Are the Aromatherapy Inspired Diffuser Oils hound-friendly?

They form part of our hound-friendly home fragrance approach, but the oil itself is concentrated and must be treated accordingly. Keep the bottle and diffuser completely out of reach, never apply the oil directly to your hound and never allow pets to lick or ingest diffuser liquid.

Use fragrance in a ventilated environment and give your hound the ability to move away from the scented space.

What makes the Aromatherapy Inspired oils different?

These fragrances have a more botanical aromatic character inspired by essential oils, botanicals and traditional aromatherapy scent families. They are ideal for customers looking for an atmospheric home scent that feels grounded and naturally expressive.

Can I add more oil for a stronger fragrance?

Yes, provided this remains within the operating guidelines of your diffuser. It is usually better to begin conservatively and add fragrance gradually rather than using a large amount immediately.

Can I put the oil directly on my dog or their bedding?

No. Diffuser Oil is a concentrated home-fragrance product and is not a substitute for Hound Fragrance or Room + Linen Spray. Never use concentrated Diffuser Oil directly on your pet.

Can I use it as a Reed Diffuser refill?

Only use products in the format for which they were designed. Our Diffuser Oil and Reed Diffuser formulas have different functions, so Diffuser Oil should not automatically be treated as a replacement reed-diffuser refill unless specifically stated as compatible.

How to use

Water-based diffusers. Add five to ten drops to the water chamber, adjusting to the size of the room and the strength you prefer.

Waterless diffusers. Remove the bottle from the unit, unscrew the dropper and pour the oil into the compartment following your device's instructions, then reattach the head securely.

Five to ten drops is a session. Two or three sessions a week takes a 20 mL bottle to between three and six months; daily use, from about six weeks.
